"Could I go instead?"

This week, I started reading The Shack by William P. Young. My parents lent me a copy after they had read it. It is an amazing book. I haven't finished it yet, but, in light of this being Holy Week, I had to share this little bit.

The main character is Mack. His 6 year old daughter was kidnapped and murdered while they were camping. 3 years later he returns to the shack where his daughter was killed and there he meets God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit. The woman he is speaking with here is the personification of God's Wisdom. This might be rather confusing if you haven't read the book, but I think it is a great illustration of the sacrifice the Jesus made for us.

(You will have to click on the photos to read them.)
